Okay, speaking as someone who was a Trekkie since before I had a training bra and someone whose first slash fandom was Star Trek,(Bashir/Garak, sorry, TOS!) I have to say this:

i never actually thought of spock & kirk together. i think it's because i watched star trek as a kid & no one had sex when i was a kid. at least in my mind. the world was populated by virgins & cabbage patch babies.
