Husband now has a fever of 102, and is getting admitted to his own little room.

Sigh.

To say I am freaked out would be an understatement. I do not take threats to my loved ones well, at all, and I can't be there with him because I'm with my kids. He said he'd rather I stay home with them anyway, but still! Poor thing, he's had morphine and vicodin and still says it hurts a lot. It's so frustrating to not be able to help.

Heh, I don't even want to think about the bill right now. *G* We have insurance but I have no idea how much it'll cover. But I've been to this hospital before and if we needed to, I'm sure they'd let us get a payment plan.

I know a handful of people who've gone through the same thing, and NONE of them had any kind of long-lasting damage. One of them had some infected tissue removed and has a small scar, but she was also the one who didn't go to the hospital until she was burning up with fever days and days after she was bitten. Please try not to worry too much! He's getting treated and he's going to be okay. It's hard to watch him go through it, but it's temporary and he's in the right place.

Thank you, that actually makes me feel better. I just wish I was up there with him. I know I couldn't help and that he really just needs his rest but, darn it, he was with me 24/7 after I had our kids and now I can't return the favor. :/
