Last night, my husband's friend's cat bit him pretty badly and I am not liking the look of it at all. I'm sending his butt to the emergency room to get it looked at since, of course, it's Sunday and the doctor is closed. But it's starting to swell a little and he says it hurts a lot so screw this, he can get some antibiotics and a tetanus shot. Cat bites are not for screwing around with as far as I am concerned. I knew someone who had to get surgery and never fully recovered use of her hand after a cat bite. I'd rather pay the emergency room bill than have him need surgery.

We see cat bites all of the time and you are right, they are not anything to mess around with if there is swelling or pain. Good for you for sending him to get antibiotics!!!
