I've never seen J'onn rearrange anyone's body parts, either, certainly not an ally (and he used to work with Guy, so Kyle or Connor would have a *ways* to go),
I think maybe that bit didn't come around right. The intention was that it is a bad idea in general to wake a sleepwalker. J'onn certainly wouldn't rearrange body parts but waking a sleepwalking guy with a Green Lantern ring might. *G*
and it seems like Kyle would have been around long enough to have *heard* of Ollie's chili. But the latter in particular works well for comedic effect (and in both parts, you have really *great* ending lines.)
I'm going with Kyle being particularly oblivous. *G* It rather suits him, plus Ollie is only a reserve member of the JLA (or being dead) when Kyle joined up, so...yeah. I just like him oblivious. Hey, he's pretty, no one said he was particularly clever. *G*
I have no excuses for Ollie. As a character, I have a terrible time with him. I'm working on it, though. :)
