I am completely (and happily) surprised that you managed to yank this into a happy ending. Really, after the first mention that Sirius was a shade and all the other "facts" that made it so, I'd resigned myself to anxiously shredding tissues as I started the last chapter today.
Ha! Between you and me, I'm surprised too. *G* When I first conceived of this story, it didn't end quite as nicely. It occurred to me sometime after I started it what must have really happened. I mean, of course it wasn't the real Sirius who fell! Of course it was a poorly made replica who fell through the curtain o' death!
I really had great time writing this. I almost didn't, I was about thirty pages in when I started to get worried if it was even making sense, or worse, it made sense but it was boring. I mean, the whole story is set in one apartment? Dullsville. A friend of mine assured me it was worth going for and I'm glad I did. :)
