Excellent ending! I must admit, I was soo curious to see how you'd resolve everything - I was a little skeptical that you'd be able to wrap everything up in just one more chapter and explain it all plausably. But this was fantastic! I love dark fic, but it's best when it is counterplayed with a nice, happy ending.
