Fascinating. A very short, but nonetheless sweet, little chapter. :) I think that you make an interesting parallel here, between the love and confusion that Judy is feeling about her son and the very similar feelings that Bumblebee himself is experiencing. Each of them instinctively understands and recognizes the fact that Sam is keeping some very important things from them, and each is desperately wanting to help but not really knowing how. However, it seems that the drive has let each of them clear their thoughts a bit and acted as a bit of a balm to their individual spirits. If nothing else, I think they have reached something of a mutual understanding (or the beginnings of one) that may prove very beneficial to everyone involved.
Additionally, I like some of the background tidbits you gave us - like the fact that the Decepticons seem to be on the move and even more active that before. Might we be seeing some more up close and personal conflict between them and the Autobots in the future? Just something to speculate about...
And ha! You made a point of highlighting in the past just how young Bumblebee is compared to the other Autobots - and it certainly is apparent here! The part when he shows an almost 'teenage-esque' horror and embarrassment towards the idea of Optimus and Ratchet being intimate was just laugh-out-loud hilarious and actually kind of cute. Although to be honest, I kind of have to agree with him there - just not a big fan of that pairing, but for my own reasons. Still, I can't deny that it made for a good, humorous moment. ;-)
Overall, just another lovely, lovely chapter from you. It's so nice, again, to find an author that does not neglect the side characters while still giving the primary protagonists their due. I simply adore your Judy and it was a refreshing change to get a glimpse into Bee's processor and see his view on things for a while. And as always, I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for upcoming chapters of your marvelous story. <3
