It's astounding the things we assume other people know about a subject - especially kids. Somewhere along the line, after all the t.v. shows or movies or whatever that he'd seen, the concept of 'counselor' just never clicked. I was just a (vital) missing bit of info that you would never ASSUME was missing.

Either that or he's been watching too many shows where the kids ARE just dumped in the woods on their own... and he somehow conflated that with the idea of 'camp' :)
