I followed a link from wesleysgirl's journal, and... whoa. Okay, yes, one does have to wonder what the PTB have in mind here (I mean, okay, given godlike powers, *I'd* arrange something like this, but that's different ;)) , but this was a fascinating setup and I'm eagerly moving on to part two now. (Also, fanning myself, because it's suddenly rather warm in here.)
