Happy Mother's Day to all the mommies out there today!


For mother's day, I got to sleep in for approximately five minutes. I got a lovely card and drawing from my son in which he waxed poetically about his love for me with all fervor that a seven year old can manage. I got a...er....dog? I think it's a dog, from my two year old.

And then my husband, who proudly gave me a bag from Sephora. Sephora, I thought with glee, he actually went into a makeup store and bought me something! I opened the box with excitement and it was...a receipt and a bunch of samples.

I must have looked confused because he told me eagerly that the item I had pointed out to him absently earlier this week when I was looking through their ad wasn't in stores so he had them order it for me, but so that he didn't give me just a receipt, they packaged up a nice collection of samples for him, isn't that sweet?

All in all, not a bad way to start the day. :)

Here goes....

Okay, don't take this personally, but I just hate beta reading. Not the readers themselves, but the getting it done process! Somehow, the second I finish a story my brain snaps closed, declares that it is finished with that mess, thank god, and never wants to touch it again. So I usually just skip it.

This time....eh....I'm wary about this story, darn it! High pressure fandom. So, is anyone interested in doing a read over of a Spock/Kirk story, just over 3000 words? Includes sex, little bit on the rough side?
